Noble Cousins,

I am writing to extend an warm invitation for all to come celebrate the 
new spring and new friends at a Grand Ball to be held the evening of 
Saturday, April 18 at Le Grand Tournoi d'Amitie, sponsored by the fair 
lands of Elvegast and Atillium (central NC).  Dancing will begin in the 
main hall after feast, and because this is a weekend-long event, there 
will be no obstacle to our passing several hours in revelry on the dance 
floor after all have rebuilt their stamina at the sumptuous table that 
will follow the day's challenges.

I have included a copy of the ball list below to whet your appetite for 
Terpsichore's many charms.

Any and all musicians are welcome (nay, encouraged!) to join a pickup 
band to provide music for the dancers. Those who wish to receive a copy 
of the sheet music in advance have only to ask.

Friends, I truly hope to see many of you in the ballroom on the 18th, as 
I and my lady will shortly be traveling to a new home in distant An Tir, 
and this ball will be our last chance to celebrate the noble art of 
dance with you.  It has been a true and distinct honor to help further 
the art of dance in Atlantia while I have called this kingdom home, and 
I thank each of you who has stepped the pavane or basse or bransle with 
us over these several years. We will miss you all terribly, and hope to 
be able to say goodbye to many of you in person at this and the other 
events that we will attend in April and early May.
