[MR] Spring Crown Tournament Update

Greetings from the autocrat of Spring Crown Tournament!

 

The weather is finally warming up and the anticipation is growing for Spring Crown Tournament.  The members of the Stronghold of Raven's Cove are looking forward to seeing each of you at this grand event. To that end, I have been encouraged to provide somewhat simpler directions to our lovely site and so, I have included those here:

 

Directions to Crown Tourney
 
>From the North:
         Find your best route to I-95 South.  Take I-40 East off of I-95.  Stay on I-40 until Exit 373 (Magnolia exit).  At the stop sign, turn left.  Go through two (2) stoplights.  Move over to the right lane.  Turn right at the third stoplight onto Hwy 24 East.  Follow the directions below.
 
>From the Coastal North:
         Take Hwy 17 South toward Jacksonville.  Turn left at the first stoplight in Jacksonville.  This is Piney Green Road.  Follow it down through six stoplights to the seventh one and turn left onto Hwy 24.  Follow Hwy 24 to Swansboro.  Fourth light and turn right.  Follow to stop sign and go across the intersection.  Follow road to the camp.
 
>From the South:
         Find your best route to Hwy 17 North.  Stay on this road to Jacksonville, NC.  
 
>From the West:
         Find your best route to Hwy 24 East.  Stay on this road to Jacksonville, NC.
 
Getting around Jacksonville:
         Take the bypass around Jacksonville.  Take the Moorehead City exit which is Hwy 24 East.
Stay on Hwy 24 East into Swansboro.  Go to the fourth stoplight and turn right.  Follow the road straight down to the stop sign.  Go across the intersection and follow the road down into the camp.  
 
There will be no SCA signs due to a city ordinance in Swansboro.
 
This should make finding our location a little easier.
 
An additional note:  Please remember that if you are bringing a minor to this event and are not the parent, you must have the following forms with you when you reach the gate:
 
- Minor Medical Authorization form  - filled out by parent/guardian and NOTARIZED.
- Minor Waiver - filled out by parent/guardian
 
Please do not make me have to turn you away from this event .  I do not like to be mean and I would much rather have you enjoy the event.  We will be providing a children's corner and will have activities provided for most of the day, as well as snacks and lunch, provided by the Stronghold of Raven's Cove.
 
Finally, a word about the cabins at the site.  The cabins have bunk beds with mattresses but no linens are provided, so please bring your own.  They are not heated but do have electricity and ceiling fans.  This is a relatively small site, so parking will not be allowed next to the cabins.  We will  have small carts available to move gear from your vehicles to your cabins.  We will also have staff available to make that moving a little easier.  Do not fear though, the distance is not great from parking lot to cabin!
