Calling all those interested in Siege,

The first event of the year to include Siege on the combat field is coming
up next weekend at Defending the Gate. This will be the first chance of
several to get acquainted with the engines and/or authorized as Siege Crew.
So if you are at all interested in siege, or looking for a way to contribute
to Atlantia's combat victories while not able to enter the front lines, I
encourage you to stop by and chat, or bring your armor and try it out.

I will have two of my Ballistas on-site for use by anyone interested during
the melees, others have said they will be bringing engines as well.
Depending on the schedule of the day, I will be teaching the Siege Crew
class, while not required it does provide a great deal of knowledge about
the engines, safety, and tactics in a short boiled down format ideal for
getting up to speed quickly.

In recent years many of Atlantia's finest have fallen to enemy siege and
untrained "allied" siege while having little to no benefit of the engines
under Spike's command. My hope and goal is to provide artillery support to
the level and skill of the combat archers at Pennsic last year.

If you can't make Defending the Gate, your next chance to lay siege is at
St. Aiden's War College on May 9, put it on your calendar.

In Service,
Baron Jonathas
Captian of Artillery, Grand Army of the Potomac
Atlantian Siege DEM
