Greetings unto the Tavern!

This weekend, March 21 and 22, is Military Through the Ages, an historical military timeline event.  It will be held at the Fort at Jamestown, Virginia.

There will be about 40 different groups in attendance, representing various military commands in history from around 400BC through Viet Nam era.  The groups (for the purposes of judging) are broken up into "cold steel," "loose powder," and "cartridge firearms" categories.  The groups will be judged on authenticity with respect to costume and personal equipment, camp setup, weapon demonstration, cooking, and interaction with the public.  In short, everyone will be on their "A" Game.

A variety of sutlers will be in attendance, including our own Master Eadric the Potter.

It is an interesting event in that one can see the development of weaponry (offensive and defensive) through the last 2400 years in a relatively short time.

In Service,

Lord Geoffrey of Doune
Baronial Herald, Highland Foorde

Alan Stewart
the Appin Regiment, 1745
