[MR] question about altantias land at pennsic

Would the Coopers be open to the idea of a "SCA Arbor Day"- us bringing and planting a line of trees/shrubs for a noise/visual screen? Particularly if we got together with other Kingdoms to do the whole length needed, it would improve the site both for us and for the Coopers the rest of the year. Granted, it would take a few years before the seedlings were big enough to do a lot of good, but there are fast-growing varieties that could make a decent screen in 5-10 years.
Musser Forests sells large quantities of seedlings for fairly cheap (and are based in Pennsylvania, so their plants should do fine at the Coopers')- though I would recommend a local expert pick the variety.

Subject: Re: [MR] question about altantias land at pennsic
I'm guessing the major issue is the noise outside the location, not the
actual location. Is there the possibility of building some sor t of baffle
or portable wall behind and on the sides of the area to minimize the
external noise. Short of shutting down I-79, I can't see a way to reduce
the actual noise itself. Just wondering....
