ofAtlantia, greetings unto the poets of both Kingdoms!

In an effort to inspire and showcase your poetic efforts, we are
attempting to arrange for the publication of period-style poetry in the
Pennsic Independent, as often as space is available for it. Absolute
deadline for submission of poetry is July 31, 2002.

Send your period-style and period/sca-themed poems (only your own
original work) and not to exceed 20 lines, with brief documentation (not
to exceed three sentences) in the body of your email (and not as an
attachment) to both greenstein at stargate.net and tehairsca at yahoo.com. Be
sure to identify yourself (both SCA and mundane names) and your local
group/home Kingdom, as well as the title of the piece (if applicable).

Submission of your work to us constitutes your permission for Tehair
and/or Michael to submit them on your behalf to the Pennsic Independent for
publication in their newspaper and on their web site. No compensation,
financial or otherwise, will be given for any piece published. Should the
Pennsic Independent offer to pay for a piece, by submitting through Tehair
and Michael you give your permission for the amount your piece would have
earned to be donated to the Chirurgeons' Fund on behalf of the poets of
Aethelmarc and Atlantia. After Pennsic we will send you an email letting
you know if your piece was published, and how/when and contact information
for the Pennsic Independent and the amount donated to the Chirurgeons' Fund.
You will retain all copyrights in your works and publication of your piece
will be with appropriate attribution. You may send more than one poem.
Publication by the Independent will be as filler and on an as-available
space basis. We cannot guarantee publication of your piece(s).
Tehair/Michael reserve the right to refuse to forward non-period style or
non-period/sca-themed pieces, or pieces which exceed the length
requirements.

Please pass this message on to all in Aethelmarc and Atlantia who might
be interested in submitting their work!
