Even though I have been taken from thee;
I will watch over thee.

Looking down from Heaven above,
Through night's darkest gloom
Or day's brightest light,
I will watch over thee.

When you sit in the Great Hall
Set a place in memory of all
And raise a tankard to honor them.
Know that I will watch over thee.

Do not weep your tears for me
For I knew each risk I took.
I so gladly gave my life's blood
That others might live in freedom
