<BR>Winter loosens its icy grasp, and Spring is here. Come, make merry, and go a
<BR>little MAD in Misty Marsh as we herald in the Spring with a "Come as You
<BR>AREN'T" party! That's right - throw caution to the wind! And, just for a
<BR>little while, throw your persona out the window! Come as someone you are
<BR>NOT!
<BR>
<BR><B><U>Fighting:</B></U> Those who would take up arms may test their skills in a number of
<BR>ways, with a bear pit, and melees planned. Non-fighters can team up for a
<BR>Bocce Tournament.
<BR>
<BR><B><U>Arts & Sciences:</B></U> We have all gone a bit mad, and our competitions will be
<BR>based on this premise. (1) All items with fur -- trimmed, lined, or other
<BR>(for those who are mad as a march hare), (2) Head pieces (for those mad as a
<BR>hatter), (3) Embellishments (for those who are moonstruck - a synonym for
<BR>mad), and (4) Open. During Feast, there will be a performance competition
<BR>for Most Creative Request for a Kiss (for those who are madly in Love).
<BR>There will also be a prize for the one who embodies someone most different
<BR>from their usual persona. Hone up your skills for a bardic circle following
<BR>feast.
<BR>
<BR><B><U>Lunch</B></U> will be available during the day for a nominal fee, with proceeds to
<BR>benefit the Barony of Hidden Mountain.
<BR>
<BR><B><U>The Feast:</B></U> will be a simple fare of Beef Stew (vegetarian available, but
<BR>only if requested in advance), prepared by the Lady Lina St. Albans (Arlene
<BR>Adams), contact her for dietary concerns at

<BR>
<BR><B><U>Site</B></U>: Camp Juniper at Cheraw State Park, 100 State Park Rd. Cheraw, SC.
<BR>Site opens at 5pm on Friday and closes at Noon on Sunday. Merchants are most
<BR>welcome.
<BR>The site is BONE DRY. Cabins are available on a first come-first served
<BR>basis only - 4 beds per cabin.
<BR>
<BR><B><U>Cost:</B></U> The cost is $18.00 after March 18 or at the door. On site/off board
<BR>or off site/on board is $13.00 after March 18. Daytrip is $5.00 Children
<BR>6 and under are half price. Make checks payable to Canton of Misty Marsh/

<BR><U>From the East:</U> From I-95 take exit 164 (Hwy 52) north toward Darlington.
<BR>Five miles from the exit, turn left on the bypass around Darlington. In
<BR>Society Hill (23.6 miles from the exit), Hwy 52 bears left. The site is
<BR>another 10 miles on your left. Use the "Camping/Boating" Entrance.
<BR>
<BR><U>From the North, South, or West:</U> Consult a map. Take your best route to
<BR>Cheraw, SC, then take Hwy 52 South. One and a half miles south of the
