Greetings Unto the Populace of Atlantia,
 
Once again we find ourselves in the middle of the busy tournament season. It was wonderful to see so many at Sapphire Joust. I hope that everyone had as much fun as I did. 
 
For those of you who were unable to attend Sapphire, the Order of the Rose sponsored a tournament in honor of Duchess Arielle the Golden. The tournament was an opportunity to honor those who support through deeds, love, and inspiration. It gave the fighters a chance to do what they enjoy and to reward those who inspire them. Every time a fighter won, they were given a rose to present to someone. By the end of the tourney, there were roses everywhere and it was a lovely site! 
 
Duchess Arielle has been a source of support, love and inspiration to not only the Kingdom of Atlantia but many throughout the Known World for years. As many know, she has been fighting cancer for almost ten years. In June, Her Grace will begin traveling out-of-Kingdom for further treatments. In order to help in her fight, the first of several private fundraisers was held during the tourney. The Order would like to thank everyone who participated in the tournament and contributed to the fundraising. The generosity and love of Atlantia is awe inspiring. 
All donations collected will go directly to Duchess Arielle and Duke Valharic to help them offset upcoming travel costs and other related expenses as they focus on the big picture.
The Ladies of the Rose are aware of the current economic climate and we ask that no one contribute anything beyond their means. Fundraising activities and donation collection will continue over the next few months giving everyone who wishes a chance to participate.
 
Their Graces will not be able to attend many events over the next few months and phone or email communication will not be feasible the majority of the time. For those that wish to express words of encouragement, cards and letters are greatly appreciated.
