Good morning,
He should check out the Slavic Interest Group (SIG) on YahooGroups. I used to be a member but am not now. There are a lot of SCA-Poles there who can provide a lot of good info to help get started.

Subject: [MR] Assistance for a newcomer: Polish Personas?
Greetings,
I received a newcomers information request and one of his questions was whether we had any Polish Nobility in the Kingdom. Is there someone who does a Polish persona (or know more about that region than I do) that I could put him in contact with? As some possible assisting information, he became interested in the pre-1500 time frame after reading The Teutonic Knights by Sienkiewicz.
Thanks,
