[MR] An update on Storvik Novice Tourney and Dun Carraig Challenge of the Heart

I wanted to send a quick reminder and some updates on Novice Tourney and Challenge of the Heart.  Also known as Novice of the Heart.  Or Challenge of the Novice.  Well, you get the idea.

I know how disappointed you will all be if the feast sells out, so make your plans now and get your registrations in.  The roast pork promises to be yummy and the pistachio cream is one of my all-time favorites.  I also highly recommend reserving space around the tourney field for your pavilion.  Please contact jynette at jynette.com for more information and please remember the pavilion raising/dropping fundraiser for Duchess Arielle.

Did I mention we are having fighting?  Between the Torchlight Tourney on Friday evening (8pmish), Novice Tourney, Challenge of the Heart pas, and War Practice, the heavy weapon fighters should have their fill.  Authorizations start bright and early Saturday morning (8amish), so plan on an early start.  Novice Tourney will start at 10am and the Pas will follow directly after.  We also have rapier combat planned - a Novice Tourney and a Challenge of the Heart Rose Tourney.   For the youths, there will be the required parent and fighter class taught, a quick practice, followed by a tournament.

Novice fighters - make sure to send in an electronic version of your heraldry so we can make a banner for you.  If you do not have registered heraldry, please let us know so we can prepare an alternate banner with your name on it.  All banner requests need to be in by June13, to give us time to paint the banners.
