[MR] Book of interest to Bards

Friends,

Have we bards among us? Here at the library where I work we have just 
received A NEW HISTORY OF ENGLISH METRE by Martin J. Duffell (ISBN 
9781905981915). This book traces meter from BEOWULF to the 20th century. 
It contains both history and analytical examples taken from old texts. 
Of particular interest to us are chapters 3-6 which cover the medieval 
period through Shakespeare. This book might be a useful addition to the 
library of anyone interested in the bardic arts.
