[MR] Marinus Baronial Birthday - June 27th: Please note the Site Change

The Bad News: Due an unforeseen circumstance, we lost our original site last week, so the information in the printed June Acorn is WRONG!

The Good News? We found an even better site!  It has a lovely air-conditioned hall with stained glass and a beautiful medieval atmosphere. The grounds are lovely and full of big shady trees, so even if its a hot day, you can fight in the shade! There will be tourneys to select our new Baronial Champions for Heavy, Rapier, Archery, Thrown Weapons.  There is plenty of parking, so no worries about that!

The brewing competition has been changed to NON-alcoholic drinks only (our new site is dry). 

Mistress Kailyn Fitzwarin will be preparing our feast using  Lady Sophia Kress' redacted recipes out of Sabina Welserin’s German cookbook of 1553.  Feast will be limited to 80 seats. Please contact the autocrat with any food allergy concerns.

Preregistration is HIGHLY encouraged! Children 5 and under are our guests for the feast; please let us know if they are coming so that we can provide extra seating for them.

Do you have SCA related items at your house that need a new home? If so, register now for a space at the Marinus Baronial garage sale, happening 11am-2 pm.  It will work just like a regular garage sale, by you placing items on a table with prices on them. You are responsible for watching your items and making any sales. Any monies you make are yours to keep, but you are welcome to make a donation to the Barony. We do ask that you keep the items for sale to limited to SCA related items, supplies, goods, etc.
