Sad times have touched our fair Kingdom with the death of one of the
most beloved Roses, Dutchess Arielle. In her life, she was a woman
dedicated to many things, including the children of Atlantia, and the
knowne world. The Children's Fete at Pennsic was created by her Grace,
and it has lived on for many years. To help celebrate her love and joy
and dedication to the children, I am putting together a collage of
pictures from her SCA life. I ask that anyone who has pictures, and do
not mind sharing, to please email me at Niccolina_Mann at yahoo.com . I ask that they be in either .jpg, or .gif so that I can work with them.
The
pictures will be set up during the Fete so that she can visit one more time
to her own creation. We hope that many of you will come by and at
least pick up a pink ribbon to wear for the day in remembrance of her
Grace.

Passion, it lies in all of us. Sleeping, waiting, and though unwanted, unbidden it will stir. Open it's jaws and howl. It speaks to us, guides us. Passion rules us all. And we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. the joy of love, the clarity of hatred, and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank. Without passion, we'd truly be dead.
