Ok, folks, I think we've all got the basic points on this subject, tolerance and historical justification on one side, potential problems from intolerant bystanders on the other.
 
If you feel strongly about either side of the debate, fine.  Try sending your opinions to the BoD or the Society College of Heralds, where it might actually influence something.  I can pretty well guarantee that we're not going to resolve the problem on this forum, even with (at last count) 75 posts on this subject in the last four days.
 
Can we please let the poor horse rest in peace?
