[MR] Pottery wheel, and a chair question too

I want to thank everyone who expressed interest in making a pillar style pottery wheel, it's always wonderful to find out (again) that there are so many people in the kingdom with skills! I have decided to work with Miguel (Spanish Peacock) for my wheel. This should not dissuade any other woodworkers who find themselves interested by the idea of making one...I just won't be paying for the wood (wink). Fellow potters in the kingdom, don'tcha think I *shouldn't* be the only person with one of these cool items??

Now, about chairs. I admit I use a Coleman chair, though I usually have fabric with me to cover it up. The period seating I own just doesn't work for events (no back to it, and doesn't fold completely flat). The chairs I'd like to own are just too expensive for me right now. I don't much like the plywood tall-back medievalish chairs that some people use for camping. Any alternative suggestions? Chair plans that wouldn't be too daunting for a non-woodworker to attempt?
