I sent a snerk about the helm, too:

This is a late-1970s or early-1980s SCA barrel helm. The open-cell
foam padding makes it probably pre-1982 or so. The old pants belt
added as an afterthought chinstrap bears this out, as  chinstrap
regulations for helmets began spreading around the Society about then.

This was probably worth about $50, new, if made by someone for someone
else. Between the rust and the fact that it was probably 16 gauge to
start with, nobody'd want it now.
