I don't have a problem with religion or religious display in context (crosses, Thor's hammers, etc). I have a problem with modern (post 17th century) religious display in a pre-17th century group and flippant disregard of that rule for personal political agendas which any religious deate is nothing less than.
I will end my postings with these questions. Is your motivation positive of negative? Are you looking to provoke with these symbols? Modern Paganism is not historical are you looking to provoke those who want to be more historical? Are you looking to be counter culture in the SCA or modern life? Are you as a modern Pagan looking to provoke Christians or modern society in general? Do you want to "freak the mundanes"? If you said yes to any of these you are using these symbols for the wrong reasons.
BTW people keep debating about swastikas; they are flat out banned in the SCA to prevent bad PR. http://heraldry.sca.org/laurel/lessons/lesson16.html
