My best uber-empathic guess is, it being a jokie-joke leading up to
Pennsic. The seller is reportedly out of Pennsylvaina and the timing
is all too convenient. The price is so high as to not really get it
sold and or to later be able to boast how valued it was in the
offering.

It isn't the case due to the arms not being submitted but, some or
every squire should at some point put his Goodly Knight's shield up
for auction on Ebay.
