That is exactly my point. This was a decision based on public
perception. Which is very biased. The reason the ruling was overturned
for Pentacles was due to the change in public perception. It had
nothing to do with historical accuracy nor religious Bias.
The Swastika as used in ancient Chinese times was in the reverse
order, and was a symbol of Budhism. But public perception would see it
as a Nazi symbol.
