As long as it's not in the central area of the event, why not? I've seen 
preparations being made for a few such, though I was unable to attend. (I

You do not appear to have said that previously.

While I do not know of any uses of a pentagram used as a heraldic charge 
by actual period people, my knowledge of period heraldry is by no means 
exhaustive. Furthermore, I *do* know that it is used on the arms 
attributed to Sir Gawain, Knight of the Round Table, as desceibed in some 
period versions of the Arthurian mythos.
