HOWEVER...

1. The pentagram is found in period artwork.
2. It is found in MEDIEVAL fictional heraldry.
3. It was a Jewish and/or Christian symbol in period.

The recently overturned ban does *not* address the question of pagan 
display in period; any association of a pentagram with paganism is as 
modern as Modern Paganism itself. The ban had been in place *not* because 
of pentagrams being non-period or associated with Evil Stuff in period, 
but *only* because of strictly modern and mundane associations. So, 
really, I fail to see your point.
