[MR] Science Guild Meeting at Pennsic

I am writing to announce that there will be a brief meeting on Tuesday, 4 August 2009, at Pennsic for anyone interested in the Science Guild previously mentioned in a Merry Rose message. The meeting will be at 1800 hours (6:00 p.m.) with the location to be posted at University Point. The purpose of the meeting will be to gauge the level of interest and decide where to go from here.

 

Anyone interested in any aspect of medieval science or engineering is welcome to attend and contribute. It is also NOT limited to the Kingdom of Atlantia, as I have had interest expressed by members of other Kingdoms. So, please, come and contribute your ideas and opinions.

 

(At this point I am defining "science" very broadly including, but not limited to agricultural sciences, herbology (sp?), medicine, astrology, alchemistry, natural philosophy, mathematics, optics, astronomy, mechanics, geology, mineralogy, meteorology, and any other area that you might consider scientific.)
