***********************************************

In 1999, the Pennsic Children's Fete was born from the love and light of
Duchess Arielle the Golden. The fete is meant to be a place for youth
between the ages of four and fifteen as a fun-filled festive occasion, in
which children and teens from throughout the Knowne World will make new
friends and create fond memories.

On July 17, 2009, Duchess Arielle the Golden passed away after a nine-year
battle with cancer. Duchess Arielle's light remains in the hearts of all in
the Kingdom of Atlantia and the Knowne World, and nothing will stop it from
glowing in our hearts always.

With this in mind, we would like to honor Duchess Arielle at the fete this
year. This is not meant to be in a somber manner, but for all us that are
volunteering to ensure that we put forth all the effort, care and love that
Duchess Arielle herself has put into the fete; while we keep it the
fun-filled festive occasion of friendship and memories she intended it to
be.

We kindly ask and encourage all of the volunteers to wear red and gold on
the day of the fete in honor of Duchess Arielle. Pink ribbons will be
available for those interested in wearing Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbons;
and Breast Cancer Awareness bracelets will be used at sign-in for the
children.

Please continue to encourage and promote participation in the Children's
Fete! If you will be at Pennsic, but you had not previously volunteered
with the Children's Fete this year, we are asking you to please reconsider.
We would love to show the support of all Atlantians at the fete this year.

Lastly, If there is anyone that would be willing to help us out with set-up
and break-down of the Children's Fete please contact Elisabeth Hänsler at
youth at atlantia.sca.org or come by the barn on August 5, 2009: between 12:00
p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to assist with set-up and between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
for break-down. Any and all help will be gladly welcomed!

Thank you for your time, effort and consideration in this matter and the
fete as a whole!
