[MR] Youth Combat at Pennsic

Greetings unto the tavern.
Atlantia is co-sponsoring a Pennsic Youth Combat tourney with AEthelmearc
Thursday August 6, 3 pm. Please come out and cheer on the fighters and
support in any way you can. The YC list is being run by the Midrealm this
year. They have provided me the rules to be in place and Atlantian YC
weapons and armor meet or exceed the standard for Pennsic 38. If you have
any questions, please contact your local YC marshal or myself. Please be
aware that Atlantia, as of June, has a requirement for 2 layers of strapping
tape on all PVC based weapons. This would be division 2 and 3 weapons. This
is also a standard for Pennsic this year. At Pennsic marshals will be making
small cuts in the foam at the base of each PVC based weapon to inspect
specifically that it has 2 layers of strapping tape. They will re-tape the
weapon at the point of the inspection cut and spray it with a YC specific
color spray paint to signify that it is an inspected weapon. This inspection
will last the duration of the war. Please be sure all weapons meet this
construction standard before you get to Pennsic.
