Since His Majesty wasn't party to the direct communications, and was instead
passing on information that I provided to him, allow me to answer.  As is
appropriate, in this case the Society Earl Marshal is concerned with the
appearance of fighters, rather than the broader application of this policy,
which would clearly be outside the scope of his office.  As it stands,
Atlantia already has already shown leadership in thie arena, by way of the
existing Kingdom Law (10.1.4), and His Majesty and I are working together to
ensure fighters, instructors and marshals are all aware of the obligations
we have under Kingdom Law.

As His Majesty correctly stated, we are both available to assist in this
matter.

In your recent missive to marshals you said, "the sem is pushing for the
enforcement of corpora which specifically addresses that attendees at
society events be properly dressed." Are you speaking here of proper
protective gear for combat, or is this a broader policy governing all
members at events?
