Thank you ALL for such a warm response. I'm in North Carolina about 25miles east of New Bern (Cathanar), in Pamlico County.

I've met the "curia" of Cathanar as of last weekend. 

Any favorite events you recommend I attend? Does anyone go to Lilies? What is the society wide "BIG" event. I've been to Pennsic? Is there something similar down here?
