I meant to put this information out on the list a little bit ago, but, here
it is.
Every year in Asheville (NC) there is the Echo Early Music Festival. It
showcases Medieval to Renaissance music and arts by various performers.
Last year they had a Professor come out and recite a hefty portion of
Beowulf in Middle English (subtitles played in the background) that was
nothing short of magical. This year, most of the events are late 1600s and
early 1700s, but there are one or two that are period, plus they are holding
an English country dance near the end of February. Anyone interested in
