What about the women that have their side of the story? Where does
the truth stand when one of them stands in front of you and tells you
what happened to her? What if there are more then one of these women
who found you at Pennsic and told you their side of the story? What
do you do then?
On my LJ I replied to a post by another Peer who had her side of the
story to tell and had some very concerned doubts.
I've worked for the Philadelphia Domestic Violence Clinic and I've
worked at Police Headquarters in the same city and after awhile you
get to know the truth of what a person is saying. When I was
approached by two different women at Pennsic two years ago, I sat and
listened to them. I believe them.
This was very difficult for me since I had found Janos and yourself,
Your Grace, to be very charming, very approachable and often times
down right fun to be with. When I found out that it would be part of
my reign to see the R&D through, I made it clear that I had to have
proof, because I don't believe in hanging someone because of
innuendo, and that's something that can all too easily happen in this
Society.
I didn't go looking for these women, they found me. What they told
me, how they looked, what their eyes said while they spoke, quietly
and sincerely is what convinced me.
And for me if even two, no *one* of these stories is true, it's enough.
I will be signing the petition because I really believe that if Janos
is not willing to change, then he shouldn't be part of this Society
and that his behavior shames us all. I don't hate him, I don't hate
you, it's not a vendetta, no one has brought any pressure to bear on
me- not that it would do any good if they did. Do I think that you
have both given a great deal to us, yes I do. However, given how
difficult it is to prove a sexual violation in a court of law, I
fully understand why anyone would not go to the police and press
charges. So, if it's left up to us, then this is what we can do to
either help him or make the Society a safer place for women.
with respect,

Dear Atlantia,
I have tried to remain silent before now as I was sure, and still am,
that my words however good they are will come out biased.
I won't attempt to re-hash what has been flung back and forth over
the recent days on multiple lists.
What I will say is this. The people who know the whole and complete
truth are very few. By kingdom law there can only be a small
handfull of people who know the full details.
Do not allow rumors and innuendo cloud your mind.
The petitions being circulated do not need to be signed this weekend,
there is time to do the right thing. Find the truth, the whole
truth, from the one person who would know the whole truth. My
husband Janos.
You may contact him through my email, I will gladly forward any
requests on to him.
