Lords and Ladies of our fair Atlantia,

Please pardon this off topic post, but I think there are those among you that might enjoy this. Shortly before Christmas I stumbled upon this site: www.cameesa.com . I'm now a supporter of the site.**

Here's the Headline Version:

Cameesa needs artists to submit designs for t-shirts.
Cameesa needs art lovers to buy or support said t-shirts.

I think it's probably safe to say, we in the SCA love a good t-shirt.
I'd love to see designs on Cameesa that reflect the SCA.

Feel free to read the forums (http://cameesa.com/forum/view ) for more information about the "crowd-funding" concept. But basically, if you like a shirt enough to PRE-buy it, you become a supporter. Should that shirt become printed and other people buy it, you'll get a dividend on each shirt sold. (The details about support levels and dividends is there in the forums.) You can get your money back. If you are a designer that submits a design, you can "take back" your design if you choose at some point in the future. Since I'm not a designer (and not totally clear on all the particulars like the payment the design submitter gets), be sure to ask any questions you might have over on the Cameesa forums.

**I told you up front that I am a supporter. I saw I shirt I really liked and put down $40 for two supports. My two shirts are now in the mail to me. When other people realize how totally awesome this design is, I'll earn a little bit off each shirt sold. (I haven't told you which one it is. I'm not asking you to buy "my" shirt so I'll earn some money. Nope.) I then put down another $20 for one shirt in my size, but using the Multiple Support Groups I'm a potential supporter in 9 shirts. When the first one gets printed, I'll be back at zero dollars/supports with another shirt in the mail to me. I'm using up my Christmas and birthday money. I'm stimulating the economy. Win/win, right?

Thank you for your kind attention. We now return to our regularly scheduled tavern chat.

Be blessed,
Lady Gwendolyn Fitch
(Janie B.)
