Midwinter's Tale - A Norse Journey
As the cold grips the land of Their Majesties, Jason and Gerhild, the Shire of Border Vale Keep offers warmth and grand company at Midwinter's Tale - A Norse Journey! Traditionally we have held this event as a day trip, but this year extend our welcome for the whole weekend. In honor of Their Majesties we will have Norse themed martial activities and encourage Norse themed A&S items. Please don't forget the heart of Midwinter's Tale and bring your sagas to relive!

Location & Directions: Richmond County 4-H Camp, 1820 4-H Club Road, Augusta GA 30906. GPS coordinates: N33.35881, W81.97721 Directions: Take your best route to Augusta GA via I-20. Merge onto Bobby Jones Expwy (I-520) via exit 196A. Get off at Exit 10: Doug Barnard Parkway (Rte. 56 Spur.) Turn right onto Doug Barnard Parkway. Drive past Bush Field Airport and past Tobacco Rd. Take the next right, onto 4-H Club Rd. SIGNS WILL BE POSTED

Feast Information: In honor of Their Majesties Jason and Gerhild, a Feast of Giants will be prepared. Please reserve early so that you can partake in the works of Master Robear, Lord Egill, Master John le Burguillun and Duke Valharic!!! Feast space is limited to 75 gentles.

Cost: Adult, Member: $6.00 Day-Trip $9.00 Feast $7.00 On Site w/Cabin Space
Adult, Non-Member: $9.00 Day-Trip $9.00 Feast $10.00 On Site w/Cabin Space
Youth (6-17): $3.00 Day-Trip $9.00 Feast $5.00 On Site w/Cabin Space
Child (0-5): Day trip of on site accommodations are paid for by the Shire. It is ok if the child shares your plate for feast but if child will need their own feast space, his/her space will be $9.00.
Ex: On site+On Board (member)= $16.00
Day trip+On Board (member)= $15.00
Cabin space is limited (and bunk style in large, common dorms), please reserve early! Camping is permitted, period pavilions will be placed around the list field. The price for camping is the same as the on site w/cabin space charge.
Martial Activities: Heavy-armor, rapier and archery. The heavy activity will have a Norse theme.
A&S: Please bring any and all projects that you are working on or any knowledge that you would like to share. We will have an open display and of course Norse themed items are most welcome!
Site Restrictions: Absolutely no alcohol, no firearms, no animals. Smoking is permitted in designated areas only, and the pool is off-limits. We do not offer child care services so please make sure your little ones are well attended.
Merchanting: Please contact the reservationist.
Please note that the site opens Friday, January 16th at 5pm and closes at 11am on Sunday, January 18th.
