Greetings all,

It is but 10 days till Kingdom Arts & Sciences. The days are a tad
longer, every once in awhile we get a less chilly spell of weather.
Many missives have reached me asking about all manner of things at KASF
and that is exactly what we have - ALL MANNER OF WONDROUS THINGS!
Things to do, to see, to touch, to taste, to hear, to learn and to take
joy in discovering!
Come join us for a day of Atlantian art at its finest! The halls are
large and heated, though the floors be somewhat cool. I recommend warm
socks if the day is chilly.
We offer both lunch and dinner for your comfort and convenience,
beverages to warm or cool you through out the day and for a taste of
something sightly different - the Sekunjabin Tavern. These beverages
are on the house. Dinner is limited - I trust you've sent in your
reservations.
Competitions! We have the Persona Pentathlon and Triathlon, The St.
Barbara Reliquary, The "Heart of Atlantia", The Gyrth Oldcastle
Memorial Poetry Challenge, "A Fistful of Fabliaux", The Inter-Baronial
A & S Challenge, The Kingdom Brewer's Competition, The "A Man for All
Seasons" audition and The Baker's Competition sponsored by Atlantia's
own Kingdom Baker.
Not interested in competition? We have numerous other diversions.
Perhaps you might consider some of these activities; The "Individual
Artisans of Atlantia" displays, the "Novice Tourney Displays for arts
tried for the first time, The A & S 50 Challenge - 50 'somethings' by
A.S. 50, The Performoing Arts Open Forum. Various demos of crafts such
as Casting, Leatherworking, Middle Eastern dance, Woodturning - come
help power the lathe for a bit. There are more displays, too numerous
to list. Still looking?
Classes and Workshops - yes indeed! Learn about Court Cuisine of the
Ottoman Empire and sample the flavors, Learn how to make basic Leather
Shoes and Pouches, Step outside for a look at the Italian Rapier
Workshop or the Historical Martial Arts classes.
For a brief respite we offer Merchants - lovely merchants with books
and spices and pottery and fabric and ...well, come and see what our
wonderful merchants have to tempt you with.
We offer a "Family Corner" where there will be things to occupy the
young folks and give the parents a chance to sit and take their ease.
In the afternoon there will be Children's activities. There will be a
Heraldic Consult Table and - something we're trying, a Lost and Found
table, just in case.
Last but NEVER least, evening Court where we will be joined by Her
Higness Esa and Bright Hill's own Baroness Martelle.
