I have to agree with my old friend here. Many knights of our kingdom
enjoy Rapier, I refuse to call it Fencing ( smile). What Peerage
name would you called a Rapier Peer? In truth, I am not against the
idea. There are many who have pointed out that many Kingdoms lack a
viable Rapier program. This is sad to hear, but this can be
corrected with friendly communication and encouragement from allied
kingdoms.
There is nothing Untouchable about Rapier fighters. They inspire
me because the Dress better than Heavies for the most part. There has
been encouraging voices in the Heavy community, but let us be for
real, the Rapier Fighters have us beat on that issue. Rapier
fighting is fighting and I do not consider it a lesser fighting art.
As a big man I could thug my way through a fight, but where is the
art and skill in that? many could say that Baron Achbar hits like a
tone of Bricks and he moves like one when he fights, where is the art
and skill? I don't see it. Rapier fighting is like a dance and fight
at the same time. There is motion, skill and art in Rapier fighting
and I can see how this deserves it's own Peerage.
Rapier fighters as Untouchables, I laugh at the thought! ( smile)
