LE GRANDE TOURNI DE AMITIE-THE GREAT TOURNAMENT OF FRIENDS

The site is located at

Little River Trails,
1690 McNeill-Hobbs Rd,
Bunnlevel, NC 28323

Camping: There are limited electrical hookups that require a deposit.
Fire pits are allowed however above ground. The site boasts 8 hot
showers male/female. Fishing is allowed. Horse trails are available
for an additional usage fee.

Fighting: One central arena will be used and shared by both
equestrian, heavy and light tournaments. Round Robin tourney's will
be offered so every fighter will have a chance to fight. As guests
arrive they will be assigned to one of three teams so that their
individual score will be combined with the four disciplines
(Equestrian, Heavy, Light and Archery). Arts and Science competitors
will be assigned a team and their score will be added as well. Even
if you are not competing for a team, there will be plenty to do. So
bring your gear and stay a while!


Equestrian specific...Validation and authorization of riders (either
at banneret level or to banneret level on Friday 17 April 2009) The
riders will be limited to the 14th century joust on Saturday between
9-11 am. This is a chance for equestrians to share the field with
heavy and light fighters at a tournament! Bring you best! Lances will

Insurance has been requested and pending the equestrian aspect of
this event is pending it's arrival
The facility is designed for horses and boast a 8 x 8 posts 10 feet
high spaced 25 feet apart for high lines. ....


Arts & Sciences: There will be a display and other competition
opportunities. Check back soon for more information.

Merchants: Merchants are welcome - there is no merchant fee but
merchants must pre-register and send information about their wares
and any requirements. Merchanting will be OUTSIDE with an electrical
hook-up available (additional fee). The location of the merchants
will be centrally located near the fighting area along the roadway
adjacent to the pavilion.

Evening Feast: Prepared by Oisin Raengir MacDonald. There will only
be space for 80 folks so get your reservation in quickly. You don't
want to miss this culinary tour! Remember, the only reservation is a
paid reservation.

Schedule: Set-up will begin at 9am Friday by the Lance of Saint
Anthony. Troll opens at 3pm. This is a camping event and there will
ALWAYS be someone on site to assist your arrival. The event concludes
at 1pm on Sunday. Watch for a complete schedule soon!
