With apologies, not all kingdoms consider the Companions of the Rose in the
same way as they do the Three Peerages.

Because, among other reasons, not all Circles of non-Chivalric Peerage are
treating the non-Chivalric combat-related participants of the SCA in
anything like a consistent manner when it comes to consideration of their
contributions, either in research or in service.

My observation, my opinion, from my current vantage point in Ansteorra, and
from my experiences on the road over the last ten years or so.  No, I have
not discussed this in any depth or specificity with any specific peer in the
recent past.  I am reporting MY perceptions from MY experiences, nothing
more (and nothing *less*).
