Greetings Atlantia, friends and neighbors both near and far,
Is there something you'd like to learn? Perhaps a new recipe from the
Court Cuisine of Ottoman Turkey or how to brew a fine beverage or
memorize a new ballad? Would you be interested in testing your skill
with lute or voice or just humming along? Possibly you would like to
observe historical forms of martial prowess or watch a demo of a
period wood lathe in operation. The St.Barbara reliquary competition
is of particular interest to woodworkers and metalworkers. There will
be all manner of competitions, demos, displays and more!
Come and join us on March 7th for Atlantia's Kingdom Arts and
Sciences Festival. Bring something to display or to compete! Take
advantage of the presence of dozens of knowledgeable individuals and
seek out that knowledge and information! Come and see Atlantia's
artisans at their best!
Do let us know if you're coming! Our cooks want none to go away
hungry! We wil be offering both a lunch - a fudraiser for our local
Youth Archery program and a light supper for your evening meal.
Preregistration for the event and the evening meal will guarantee you
won't go away hungry!! We hope to feed as many as possible but will
be revising our dinner numbers as of Friday, Feb. 27th if it seems to
warrant much fewer or (hopefully) much larger numbers than the
original 150 diners.
(I must be cautious with Baronial funds and Kingdom taxes come due soon!
But a good host lets no guest go hungry. A word to my Exchequer would be
most kind.)
For details on activities, competitions and more at KASF see our
website at www.kasf2009.com Check it often for more updates!
In service to Atlantia and her Arts, I remain,
Chagan Khulan,
Autocrat
