Calling all artists of Atlantia... gather your wits, prepare your presentation, and join us on Valentines day in the lovely lands of Bright Hills as we celebrate our birthday at "From Lupercus to Valentinus: A Celebration of Courtly Love" this Saturday, February 14th, from 10am-10pm at Manchester fire activities hall.
What do we offer for artisans?
-An Arts and Sciences display area with a focus on learning and teaching... bring your successful displays from the past to share with our new artisans, your displays in progress for next month's KASF for helpful commentary, and your expertise to lend to other artisans so that they may improve their presentation, documentation, and feel better prepared for future A&S displays. This display area is intended to help our new artisans to learn how they can improve and to show them examples of great work that has come before them, and just to share our arts so that we may hear gasps of awe from the populace. All attendees at the event will receive lovely lampwork glass beads to vote for their favorite displays and you as the artist will keep all the beads you earn! We look forward to seeing how you use them in future projects. Commentary sheets and official judging forms will be available for the populace to give their insight and suggestions to artists.
-Bardic and Dance will alternate through the day, so join in to share your vocal and swift footed talents...
-The Second Annual Bardic Bear Pit will be held to measure all of your talents to find the last bard standing!
-A Love Poetry Contest challenges you to bring or write a love poem 3-14 lines in any known style from haiku to sonnet, the
poem must be recited or sung and will be judged by the gathered poets following the Bardic Bearpit.
Write a poem to wow your beloved and the populace!
-The Tournament of Love and War will be held during Feast, sign up at gate to show your wit in a contest of wills to entertain the populace during our fabulous feast by the Bright Hills Cooks Guild.
As you can see we have plenty to offer artists who seek to "drive the cold winter away" along the northern borders of Atlantia!
