This will be very good news for many of you (and me for that matter).

The Society Seneschal has ruled on the issue of waterbearing, and the addendum to corpora, with the following statement:
 ...that a branch providing water or gatorade or whatever at an event is neither addressed nor restricted by this Board action.

For those of you who have read the Board's announcement concerning waterbearing, this may seem like a contradiction. However, the attempt of the Board's action was to eliminate the official office of waterbearer, and thus, turn over the process to volunteers. Based on this statement, the only change is the removal of the office and the volunteers can, essentially, be anyone. The office is gone, but all previous activities that constituted waterbearing may continue.
