 Skill at arms is not the sole prerequisite for the Fighting Peerage.
Prowess may be regarded highly, but it is not the only requirement... for any of the Peerages.

Making the presumption that skill is all you need for Peerage is the first flaw in most of these "Fourth Peerage" arguments.

As others have pointed out, Rapier/Light/Fencing is an ancillary activity according to the SCA's Governing Documents. It is also not practiced in all Kingdoms (again, mentioned previously). Then there's the experimental stuff... Atenveldt has 'Light' combat with kendo equipment as well as 'Chivalric' and 'Fencing'. No one else does that. So, then what?
