Greetings Good Gentlefolk of Atlantia,
Recently it came to Our attention that Our Road Survey Crews have been out
making their spring surveys a little early this year. It seems that as they
neared Our western foordes they were approached by a riderless horse. As it
came near to them they discovered that it was none other than Our fearsome
and dreaded Kelpie that haunts the crossings into Highland Foorde.
Fearless and undaunted the surveyors demanded to know what business brought
the Kelpie abroad in daylight. The Kelpie responded that it had been a
particularly good winter with many travelers who paid "their fare" to enter
the river. As a result the remarkably sleek and well fed Kelpie was finding
it difficult to store all of its hoard.
The Kelpie offered to share its treasure in exchange for the removal of
numerous signs, erected at your Baron's personal expense, warning pilgrims
and honest travelers of the danger the Kelpie poses.
We then questioned the Road Survey Crew most closely to determine if such
signs had been removed and We were assured by their downcast eyes and
continued silence that absolutely no signs of any sort were removed, on this
side of the river.
We have examined the Kelpie's Hoard and We are somewhat curious about its
nature. Rather than tamper with these objects We have decided to pass them
on to Our loyal people and neighbors that all may share in any possible
fortune.
As Baron of Highland Foorde, I invite and encourage one and all to attend
our Feast and Foolishness event on Saturday, February 21st, so that you too
may partake of the Kelpie's treasure. Please check out the details at this
