Subject: 2010 Festival and Warm Wishes

Happy Holidays from the Echo Early Music Festival,

As we head into the longest night of the year and WNC is still blanketed
with a record snowfall, here's sending everyone warm wishes for the
holidays.

Our 2010 Festival has just been announced, with full details on our website
www.eemf.net .

March 12 - 14 is our weekend of harp-oriented chamber music. We're
welcoming a number of special guests: world-renowned countertenor Drew
Minter with Trefoil, historical harpist Paula Fagerberg, Belgian soprano
Francisca Vanherle, and local favorites Gerald Trimble and River Guergerian.

March 19 - 21 is our weekend of bigger numbers, including a concert version
of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas on period instruments and a performance of
large-scale polyphonic works for brass.

We've brought back advance ticket sales, available both at our website and
at SoliClassica, 1550 Hendersonville Rd. Tickets make a great last-minute
holiday gift, for yourself or a friend. An affordably priced season pass is
also available: all six programs for only $60.

Lastly, as the year draws to a close, I would invite anyone who is able to
consider making a tax-deductible donation, however small, to support the
festival's ongoing work of bringing the incredible historical repetoire to
life in our community. Without entering the battle for public funding, we
rely on the concerted generosity of our phenomenal musicians and audiences
working together to create the reality of this festival. Even if you're not
ready to take center stage, many small contributions rapidly add up. Online
donations are simply made through the website, or by contacting me any time.

Yours,
Eric Scheider
Director
