One small correction. I meant the large wall tent, not the small. That's the one some of our household members have. Very comfy.
Cheers,

Iain,
A number of members of our household have settled for these (look at the small wall tent). They just bought the canvas and made the poles themselves. They are very easy to make, and not expensive. The total with canvas, ropes and homemade poles will stay well within your budget.

We have had these tents are camp for a number of years, and they have survived the Pennsic weather and storms. They are a great first tent, and have a lot more space than one would think. Perfect for one person, and in some cases two (although cozy in the later case).
Hope this helps,
Belphoebe

It seems all my Scadian friends recommend me getting a canvass tent instead of dressing up an ezup (first up ) 10x 10 gazebo. I just want a tent that is big enough to have a queen sized ari mattress, an upright protable little wardrobe and where I can change standing up (I am 6'3).. all while staying dry and retain some sort of heat in the near and sub zero temps. AND keep within about a $500 budget (used is fine)
Is it attainable
