[MR] Request of clarificaton on furry friends and events

I've wanted to say several times "what, you never forget something? You never run out? You never appreciate it when someone on staff has thought ahead to smooth your experience?" It is no autocrat's responsibility to provide lots of little niceties that happen at some events (nor am I saying that they should happen at all events) but it is a nice courtesy. If an event were specifically to note "parent's corner for socializing of the under 3 year olds..." than it would be a very lovely courtesy to have extra diapers. Not a requirement.
There is no reason courtesies can't be extended to dog owners at events if those actions might mitigate conflicts, someone could be asked to volunteer to cover it. NOt saying it should be a 'requirement' of a group that's willing to allow dogs at their event. What's wrong with offering *possibilities* that could forestall an 'even/or' situation.
I attend a week long event every summer with 150 people and 250 dogs, and although we're all dog people there are poop bags EVERYWHERE becasue people run out. It's also an owner's responsibility to provide water, yet there are water bowls left around the place to help. There is a shaded area kept available for the dogs. I am NOT saying these things *should* be done at any particular SCA event. I am trying to elicit ideas of what can be done to smooth attendance at events should people want to. Doesn't have to be 'official' either--I love it when people put out water in fron of their tents for dogs to drink--but are there ideas people have for 'semi-official' ways to help out...for example, I was thinking of putting up a "Canine First Aid certified" note in my merchant tent at the last event, because I am and I always have first aid supplies with me, but didn't because I didn't have time to think through any legal ramifications...
