Please pass along this information to the affected parties.  It may help in some small way.

We are saddened to hear that someone has taken what does not belong to them.  Having been through the same situation in the not so distant past, we never recovered any items. Though not Kingdom or Baronial levels, many of our items had Kingdom and household identifiers.

We will keep watch, but remember this -- check your insurance policy (not usually applicable in apartment or rental accommodations).  File a loss report with the police AND itemize everything for your TAXES.  If the items are not recovered, some of the loss may be able to be claimed on taxes, especially if you itemize.  Providing the tax laws have not changed, we were able to claim some of our loss in 2006.

The theft was probably for the trailer.  They never know just how much the contents affects the owners, instead.
