[MR] Request of clarificaton on furry friends and events

All other very valid issues aside, even if your dog remains perfectly 
well behaved & cleaned up after, there are quite a lot of people who 
just can't be in the presence of dogs because of a very deeply held 
fear. In an event that's supposed to be for people, it's really not fair 
to impose dogs on people who can't be around them.

On a milder level, there is the whole allergy issue.

I'm a dog owner & lover, too, but for the love of the Flying Spaghetti 
Monster, just leave the dogs at home and let everyone have a good time.
