In my experience, most sites do not allow animals. If they are allowed, the event flyer will say so. It is probably safest to assume that they are not permitted on site (this is also usually a SITE requirement, not that the event planners hate your dog....). If you have any questions, check with the autocrat.

In my experieince, I have only seen a mention in the event announcements when pets WERE allowed though they seem to always post if a site is dry or wet...seems to me this would be very helpful even if not "no dogs allowed " but something more chivalrus like
only certified service animals permitted and then when it was a "pet friendly "sit...say so...

Unfortunately, I believe most public sites (and pretty much all of the
indoor ones) do *not* allow dogs. I would assume that they aren't allowed
and contact the autocrat with a question if you're not sure.

Dear Atlantia,
I am still new to the SCA and am still verry dependant on reading the
posted descriptions for events, and sadly this has recently caused a rather
large problem. You see I have been checking to see if the site restrictions
include dogs. The problem is that at two recent events that I have arived at
(after checking specificaly for this and finding it a non listed problem on
the site) I have been informed after ariveing that no dogs are alowed. This
is qute frustrating, and in some instances financialy draning if the event
was quite a distance from my home. I ask that those who are in charge of
this please clarify this on the event listings as you do with dry or not dry
sites? Please?
Thank You sooo much,
the dog loveing newbies
