The Pennsic Choir

The Known World Choir at Pennsic, also known as the Pennsic Choir, is a
group of people from across the Kingdoms of the SCA who love to sing a
cappella choral music from the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Singers rehearse
and perform pre-17th century choral music at Pennsic and other SCA Wars.
Membership in the choir is open to everyone who loves to sing!

encouraged to learn the music before arriving at Pennsic - the better
everyone knows their part, the better the concert will be! Walk-ins at
Pennsic are welcome, just be prepared to work your vocal chords and your

The Pennsic Choir rehearses daily from 3:00 to 5:00 pm in the Performing
Arts Pavilion, then presents a concert on the final Thursday of the War at
6:00 pm. This year's theme, in honor of the International Year of Astronomy,
is music about celestial objects. Composers include Michael East, Francis
Pilkington, Melchior Vulpius, Hans Leo Hassler, Guillaume de Costeley,
Francisco Guerrero, and the ever-popular Anonymous.
