Both statements below are ones I would agree with. Having had an
unpleasant and slightly painful experience in one session of a game, I
really didn't feel like trying a second dose. There seem to be
various sets of rules and the big issue that I see is people who are
either unfamiliar with the limits of the game or, in my case,
encountering a player who got carried away with the so-called 'spirit'
of the game and started roughing up some folks.
If we could guarantee that the players all knew the rules and would
not get out of hand with their actions (in a perfect world...)then I'd
have no problem with this game or any of the other things from the
so-called "Good ol'Days" being played at events. However, that can't
be guaranteed, so I'd just as soon continue on with the dozens of
other fun activities that are available to participate in. The only
form of killing we indulge in is on the Tourney field or battle field.
That's the honorable form and I think it ought to stay that way.

" Overall, would have to agree with the general negative sentiments
about assassins and pirates as far as personas go (especially
pirates....)

However, I must say I have seen the "assassin game" played fairly
successfully at my first Atlantian event, Dun Carraig's Challenge of the
 Heart in spring of 2004."

Now as to Heraldic Twister or Armor Bingo - those I could have some
fun with!

This is my hobby, my Dream and I partake because it's fun and keeps me
in the research library and off the streets. I'd like it to stay that
way. There's just way too much cool stuff to do without adding in
things we stopped doing because they weren't always fun for everyone.

Stepping down off my soapbox now...

  Chagan
