[MR] controversial questions

After much reading I've found that most psychologists say that

fear turns into anger and anger turns into hate.

(Way too much free time when I was laid off years ago.)

So I understand that when I ask a controversial question that it could stir up anger. The anger typically comes from the fear that I have brought up a valid reason to stop a change from happening as there is no real solution to the problem I present. However I insist on bringing up the question as I think it's important to be prepared for a perfectly valid possibility with ideas rather than bury our heads in the sand and pretend it couldn't possibly happened just because it hasn't.

I thought I had a solution to the problem with the idea of a local deputy when Logan reminded us that a local deputy isn't a guarantee of not losing a site either. This is true. Maybe a better solution would be to have someone like Master Nikulai, who has a strong reputation as a solid experienced autocrat become the liaison for permanent event sites. Master Nikulai is a hugely experienced autocrat who has taken on last minute event projects more times than I can count and continues to be extremely popular with most people that know him. Maybe that would be a better idea.

And I still like the polling idea. Gathers lots of opinions fairly quickly and if anyone challenges a change later, the Crown has solid documentation for their change on paper to show any challengers. It "covers their butts" on paper so to speak.

Food for thought and I'm not really expecting a response.
