Minor note, Jane Seymour more or less did dress her ladies all the same. Not that they had to have Exactly the same dresses as far as cut went, but in the Lisle Letters you find her instructions that the girls about to go to court in the Queen's service had to show up with at least certain gowns in certain colors. I'm thinking one had to be black satin, but I'm too lazy to walk across the living room to look it up. Blame the cat sitting on me & purring...
